The Venus Flytrap (Dionaea Muscipula) is probably the most famous carnivorous plant. They snack on insects by snapping shut when something lands on their ‘teeth’ – these are called trigger hairs. This is a cool process to watch, but try not to touch the leaves yourself, as this can waste the plan’t energy.
Light – Place this plant in bright, indirect sunlight.
Water – The Venus Flytrap is a moisture loving plant that grows near marshes and bogs, so try to keep your Venus Flytrap moist at all times. Avoid leaves when watering.
